In this month’s city hotel spotlight, we will travel to the American Southwest, stopping in Phoenix, Arizona. Travelers to Phoenix expect sunshine, red rocks on the horizon, leisurely afternoons at the pool, and rounds of some of the best golf in the country.

The hotels highlighting this list are full of luxurious amenities, activities, and endless beauty.

Royal Palms Resort and Spa

The Royal Palms Resort and Spa is rightfully named “royal”. This experience is surely one that is good enough for royalty. This glamorous resort has all of the southwest charm you could ask for paired with all the luxury you could hope for in a spa. After a long round of golf you can get a massage and then refresh yourself with a cocktail from “The Mix Up Bar”. The Royal Palms boasts elegant scenery with plenty of outdoor space for you to soak up the sun.

Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

The Arizona Biltmore is an incredible hotel located in Phoenix. The luxury hotel has eight swimming pools and seven tennis courts. It also serves as a full-service resort spa and salon for those looking to unwind. However, more interesting than its current luxurious form, is the rich history that the hotel has. The Arizona Biltmore is known as “The Jewel of Desert” because of its architectural prominence. The seminal influence comes America’s greatest architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, who was a consulting architect on his former student, Albert Chase McArthur’s project. The entire hotel was constructed from the “Biltmore Block” which is a textile block first used by Wright to build private homes.

Arizona Grand Resort and Spa

The Arizona Grand Resort and Spa prides itself on providing the ultimate desert oasis. All 744 suites and villas were designed to reflect the comfort of an oasis. The hotel also provides one of the best meeting places in the city with over 117,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. To top off this incredible resort and spa, the hotel also has the Oasis Water Park. It has been voted as the one of the top 10 water parks in the country by Travel Channel. The Slide Canyon Tower, Oasis Wave Pool, Zuni River, Wild Cat Springs, Calient Springs, and relaxing cabanas make it no wonder as to why it made the list.
