hotel wood interior designThis month, we head to Missouri for our hotel city spotlight. We’ll be exploring three incredible hotels in Kansas City. Located in the heartland of America, Kansas City is ripe for visitors, sporting some excellent hidden gems along with its famous barbecue fare. For a refreshing beverage, enjoy Kansas City’s own brewery, Boulevard Brewery. After you’ve had your fill of Kansas City sightseeing for the day, head to one of these three hotels to put your feet up.

Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza

The Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza is located in Country Club Plaza, Kansas City’s premier shopping district. This upscale, luxurious hotel, which has been recently constructed, is a beautiful mix of modern design and Mediterranean influence. You can stay in one of the hotel’s 132 guest rooms which includes 6 suites and one Presidential suite. The hotel’s rooms are stunning, featuring modern touches that overlay a very warm atmosphere. The beds are custom designed for the Hotel Sorella. To very literally top off the hotel, you can enjoy a swim in the rooftop swimming pool.

Hotel Phillips

The Hotel Phillips is a luxury, boutique hotel located in downtown Kansas City. 217 spacious guest rooms offer a European-style king or queen bed. The lobby, which was designed by Charles Phillips, has an Art Deco style that impresses guests upon arrival. This boutique hotel will only add to the experience you have in Kansas City.

816 Hotel

Another hotel located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, the 816 Hotel is one of the most unique around. If you didn’t know, Kansas City is referred to as the “Paris of the Plains” and the 816 Hotel takes that to heart. It combines the past and present to create a hotel experience that you likely have never encountered before.

Spacious rooms are decorated with old photos containing Kansas City’s rich history, while the room amenities themselves are top-of-the-line. However, the real uniqueness is in the form of the 816 Hotel’s themed rooms. These rooms are furnished and decorated with various Kansas City iconic institutions. For example you can stay in the Kansas City Zoo room or the KC Mob room, or even the Boulevard Brewery room.
